‘Musical Selfie’ Workshop in Bristol
The workshop will now run only on FRIDAY, from 10 AM – 2 PM at Pervasive Media Studio. Please come to the Watershed Cafe at 10 AM to get started.
Pervasive Media Studio at Watershed Bristol will hold a workshop focusing on the use of mobile music apps and the creation of ‘musical selfies’. Lead by a team of researchers from the Sonic Arts Research Centre (Belfast), the University of Bristol and the University of Oxford, the workshop will aim to discover how mobile apps can facilitate collaborative approaches to music-making. The workshop will enable participants to better understand both how the self is represented through social media, and how new music and audio apps can enable new kinds of ‘selfies’ to emerge.
The workshop is open to everyone, and is free of charge.
The organisers particularly welcome those who are engaging with creative technologies, social media, and music or audio.
Refreshments and light snacks will be provided throughout the workshop
